Hi aRootsers,

I'm desperate to find the plans of the house David Adjaye drew for his friend photographer Ed Reeve.

It's a cube built out of prefab timber elements made by Eurban and then covered with wood cladding. It lies in Hackney (De Beauvoir Town) and is partly buried under street level.

The lucky owner is so proud of his home that he created a site where he shows pictures of the whole building process, from digging out the lot to his moving in : www.edsshed.co.uk. There are also elevations of the four façades but no plan. Several architecture blogs tell about it, but there's nothing more than on the owner's site.

Based on the pictures, I tried to draw the plan but not every room is pictured there. I even checked the size of the 1987 serie 3 30 E BMW parked in front of the house and of Charles Eames lounge chair in the living room just to estimate the size of the house and rooms. It only gave me poor - and sometimes contradictory - results. I should have known, the very idea was ludicrous.

A thousand thanks for any information about the plans.

Bob
